This series made from my survey on a circle route in Chiang Mai, Lamphun and Mae Hong Son Provinces where the Japanese Army use to travel to and retreat back from Burma and India during the 2nd World War. In the current time, the routes are highway road number 1095 and 108. The same routes are also used by refugees to escape from Burma, particularly after the 2021 coup d’état. The information of both events are limited and rarely seen/heard in public. The wash out of the history of the WW2 dismiss not only the Japanese and other foreigners stories, but the life of the local as well.This characteristic of both situation will be presenting in this series.
