4th Annual Collectors’ Contemporary Collaboration Intimate Curiosity- Invitation to Japanese Collectors of Contemporary Art
Date & Time:
20/03/2016 – 10/04/2016 From 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
Hong Kong Arts Centre’s Annual Collectors’ Contemporary Collaboration (CCC) was initiated in 2013 to examine the role and contributions of private collectors to the development of Asian art scenes. Celebrating its 4th edition in 2016, HKAC has invited Fumio Nanjo and Roger McDonald as the guest curators. In the 20th century, Japanese collectors are known for their comprehensive collections of impressionists and modern art masters; while after the turn of the century, more dynamic and committed contemporary art collectors have risen. With this exhibition, CCC will present the collections of Keita Arisawa, Daisuke Miyatsu, Yoshiko Mori, Takeo Obayashi, Atom Suematsu, Ryutaro Takahashi, Seiichi Yoshino and share the insight of Japanese collections in the 21st century.
