There are some similarities in the English spelling that always make people who not familiar with the geography, confused between Taiwan and Thailand. But it does not mean that Thais and Taiwanese know the historical background between two of us. In the cross-cultural this point, whether we can really explore very well to each other; is there the real measurement of understanding in culture? The ThaiTai project is focus on two stages of dialogue which is the Artist in Residency in two nations that base on Taiwan and Thailand respectively by Open -Contemporary Art Center (Taiwan) and duo artists jiandyin (Thailand). Last year, Open -Contemporary Art Center had formal stationed in Bangkok through partnership with jiandyin, Thailand, right after, an international exhibition in Bangkok Art and Culture Centre was organized. This year, ThaiTai project had brought to Taiwan and expand its scale, the project has invited artists from Thailand, doing residency in Taiwan. During this space of adventure, there is some imagination in cultural purity gradually had been tested as well.
