ประวัติศิลปิน สุทธิรัตน์ ศุภปริญญา

ปัจจุบันอาศัยและทำงานที่จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ จบการศึกษาปริญญาตรีจากสาขาจิตรกรรมคณะวิจิตรศิลป์มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่และเคยทำงานเป็นอาจารย์ประจำที่นั่น ได้รับการศึกษาระดับ Meisterschulerin ด้าน สื่อศิลปะจาก Hochschule Fuer Grafik und Buchkunst เมืองไลป์ซิก ประเทศเยอรมนี เธอสร้างผลงานทัศนศิลป์ที่หลากหลายรูปแบบ โดยเฉพาะผลงานทางด้านสื่อศิลปะและศิลปะติดตั้ง (Installation) รวมทั้งผลิตวิดีโอสารคดี รวมทั้งผลิตวิดีโอสารคดี ทั้งได้แสดงผลงานสู่สาธารณะในและต่างประเทศอย่างต่อเนื่อง ที่มาของผลงานส่วนใหญ่ของเธอมีรากฐานขึ้นมาจากประสบการณ์ตรง แต่ถูกนำเสนอในฐานะประเด็นสาธารณะ โดยดึงความพัวพันอื่นๆแวดล้อมที่ทำให้เรื่องส่วนตัวเป็นเพียงแค่ที่มาของการค้นหาและค้นพบโครงสร้างที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่า ในปี2554-2555เธอได้ร่วมจัดเทศกาลภาพยนตร์เอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ไลป์สเคปกับมหาวิทยาลัยพายัพ เชียงใหม่ เธอเข้าร่วม Imaging Mekong Fellowship สำหรับการฝึกฝนและร่วมมือกันของนักข่าวในประเทศลุ่มแม่น้ำโขงในปี2548 และ Asian Cultural Council Fellowship สำหรับศิลปินและนักวัฒนธรรมเอเชียที่นิวยอร์คในปี2554 ได้รับคัดเลือกให้เป็นศิลปินในพำนักโครงการ International Creator Residency Program ที่ Tokyo Winder Site อาโอยาม่าในปี 2555 ท่านสามารถชมและติดตามผลงานของเธอได้ที่ www.atelierorange.info/

Biography

Sutthirat Supaparinya is a video and installation artist. Through her works, she is questioning an interpretation of images and media, paying attention to ancestors’ experience and showing the large-scale electricity generation that relates to our urban life. She lives and works in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Obtained a BFA in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Chiang Mai University and a Postgraduate degree in Media Arts from Hochschule Fuer Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig, Germany. She was co-curator for main exhibition of the International Incheon Woman Artists’ Biennale 2009 in Incheon, Korea and was co-organizer of the Lifescapes: South East Asian Film Festival 2011 and 2012 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She is a 2005 Imaging Our Mekong (Journalist) fellowship and 2010 Asian Cultural Council fellowship at International Studio & Curatorial Program-ISCP in New York City. Was selected to participate in International Creator Residency Program at the Tokyo wonder Site Aoyama in the year 2012. Supaparinya's visual work is presented on the www.atelierorange.info/. She is also a member of Chiangmai Art Collective, a non-profit organization promoting contemporary art and culture in Chiang Mai.
