Statement

I am doing my artwork to trace an answer of my question to be witness of unknown story, to revisit my memory, to reveal the abstruse thing in my mind. The question is attached with my believe, memory and feeling. The process of work keeps a thinking process continue side by side with a development of visible form. It balances me between the abstraction in my mind and physical medium as a communication tool.

I often use reflective sheet, sound, light, video that work with space as installation form. They talk with me in the darkness where I concentrate to read my mind the most. They are effective tools to deliver my message. Since they can enhance imagination by interaction, listening without seeing/ seeing what is not listening or  watching fragment of though without limitation of time and fixed position compare to watching movie in cinema.

I work in difference theme, however most of them reveal what the truth I see through the changeable of cities, food cultures, facts, riverscapes, the movable of mind while insomnia, the use of nuclear, the relation of fact and hypothesis of constellation pattern, the relation between large scale power stations, the earth and active fault lines. Besides, some of works derive from my interpretation of media and experience.

I examine energy matter in many levels in my current and future projects, from personal thought to public thought, from philosophy to science. The work “When Need Moves The Earth” shows the use and harness of electricity, while “10 Places in Tokyo” shows the forgotten effect and 2 sides of nuclear. In my future project, I will to study on energy as a transformation of spirit.
